For starters, developer Lionhead Studios has relaunched their Fable forums, warning fans to stay tuned to the site along with their other social media arms for announcements that may be coming.

We’ve known for some time that the game was an inevitability, after Peter Molyneux (the former face of the studio and series) told us at E3 2011 that Fable: The Journey should not be considered Fable 4, since that was most likely coming soon. Since then, Lionhead has been hiring developers for a next-gen project that would seek to “re-imagine” a classic series while paying tribute to the core of the franchise.

Now, Lionhead has opened up a brand new forum with a message naming it the one-stop shop for everything Fable:

Hopefully Microsoft’s press conference will offer more insight into the experience Lionhead is currently crafting, and how it will be utilizing more than just the improved hardware of the new console. As promised at the Xbox One announcement event, the company will have 15 console exclusive games releasing in the first year, 8 of which will be brand new IPs. Fable 4 is most likely one of them, although what that means for PC players is unknown.

If you answered yes to any or all of the above then you’ll be excited to hear that today we’re launching our brand new Lionhead.com Fable forums!

Join fans from across the globe to discuss all things Fable; from the latest news & announcements to guides, walkthroughs and fan content. Wherever your interests lie, you’re bound to find the perfect bunch of people to discuss them with.

What are you hoping for from Fable 4? Would you be happy if it simply tried to correct the mistakes of its predecessor, or is the time right for a bold new direction? Leave us your thoughts in the comments.

We’ll keep you posted on all E3 news concerning Fable 4 and the rest of Microsoft’s release lineup.
