Limited Run Games is a service started in 2015 that aims to give digital-only games a physical release for collectors and to stave off fear of a “prophesied all-digital future” according to its website. Recently the service announced a high-quality Streets of Rage 4 collector’s edition bundle, and for May the 4th it will be releasing 1,000 special PlayStation 4 “blister packs” for both 2002’s Star Wars: Racer Revenge and Star Wars: Bounty Hunter.

The $39.99 limited edition products will be available starting tomorrow at 12:00 p.m. ET, and based on Limited Run Games’ “truly” limited policy, “it will never be available from us again.” Racer Revenge is a sequel to Star Wars Episode 1: Racer, which will see a PS4 and Nintendo Switch re-release soon, while Bounty Hunter focuses on the character Jango Fett as a sort of prequel to the film Episode 2 — Attack of the Clones.
While these new blister packs are the primary focus of Limited Run Games’ Star Wars Day celebration, the service also has every other Star Wars game it offers listed together on its website. Some like Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are available to pre-order as of this writing, while others like premium boxed editions of Racer Revenge and Bounty Hunter are already sold out.
Though the current landscape of Star Wars-related video games is rich thanks to titles like the aforementioned Jedi: Fallen Order, a larger collection of older, classic games are also making a big comeback. Recently the Steam port of 2004’s Star Wars: Battlefront brought back online multiplayer servers through an update that also added new language options.
However, there is also conversely a slowing down of content in more recent, ongoing titles. DICE announced the final content update for 2017’s Star Wars Battlefront 2 last week, so fans in the mood for more Star Wars content should watch out for Limited Run Games tomorrow.
